JANCO's Heritage
JANCO opened its doors in 1999 around the time of the Asian Economic Crisis.
When an industry is under pressure there is always a need for service providers who can quote and
deliver on time. Meeting deadlines and keeping prices at a reasonable level has always been JANCO's
objective, and it was on this basis that JANCO was able to survive the crisis and begin building the
business that exists today.
Since that time JANCO has developed a range of products and services in response to the needs of the
ESOL teaching market. We enjoy a visible presence from our participation in major industry events such as
the NEAS DOS and EA Educational Conferences. Also, through our local Cambridge Examinations role, JANCO
maintains a wide contact base among teachers and ESOL managers Australia wide.
Jan Smith's attendance at the Cambridge ESOL Senior Team Leaders Conference since 1999 has enabled
JANCO to forge international links and to build a support network of ESOL professionals worldwide.
Through these networks JANCO has been able to access information on ESOL markets, educational
developments and industry trends around Australia and the world.
Our Mission is:
- To listen to the Australian international ESOL industry, to interpret what we hear, and to respond
to its needs.
- To preserve our integrity and our independent voice whilst meeting the industry's demand for
innovative products and services at realistic prices.
- To maintain professionalism at all times through conducting our business by the highest ethical
standards.
It is through these principles that JANCO has, in such a short time, established itself as the
foremost Educational Consultancy on the Sydney TESOL scene.
