Demands for relief teachers are currently at a low point due to a good supply of teachers.
JANCO will not be registering new teachers for its relief service during August. Once the situation improves and we begin registering relief teachers we will make an announcement on this page of the website. Remember to check "What's New" from time to time for information on other ESOL positions.

JANCO and the ABC open their 'Behind the News Archive'

With BTN broadcasts now fully available through streaming from the website, the ABC is
making its Behind the News archive available to viewers.Institutions who have decided not to subscribe to JANCO News Worksheets can now purchase the JANCO materials for previous years to accompany viewing of the archives.
Around 70% of the material remains useful even though the main stories may be linked to topical news stories. Material relating to animals, music, the environment and Australian
culture provides excellent opportunties for teaching listening with authentic material.

2009 Worksheets now available for purchase $30 per term or $100 for the full year
